Why are many lawyers jerks?

The type of person that becomes a lawyer is someone who is willing to lie for someone just to make money and someone who enjoys arguing, that is the typical personality of a lawyer. Also, lawyers try to sound aggressive when they meet you because that is what they think you want them to be like when you are in court and they are trying to get you to hire them. I personally could never be a lawyer because I think it is unethical to lie for people just because they pay you - there are more ethical ways to earn money.
